Daniel Day-Lewis returns to the big screen from the hand of a very special person. The only winner of three Oscars for Best Leading Actor announced in 2017, after the premiere of The invisible threadwho was retiring from the industry for private reasons and it was this October when he was seen again on set. As reported Varietythis project is about Anemonehis son Ronan’s debut film as a director, where father and son have worked together on the feature film script.

In addition, Universal will be in charge of distributing the film internationally. Ronan’s debut feature will feature Jane Petrie (The Crown) as costume designer Chris Oddy (Zone of Interest) as production designer, and Ben Fordesman (Love Lies Bleeding) as director of photography.
On screen we will see Daniel accompanied by Sean Bean, Samantha Morton, Samuel Bottomley and Safia Oakley-Green. Although many details of the production are unknown, in the photos that have been shared from the filming we see the protagonist of The age of innocence characterized by glasses, a mustache and a goatee, in addition to driving a motorcycle. Page Six has published that the character Bean plays is a police officer and that the play takes place in the 1980s.

Since then, Wicklow, one of the greenest areas in Ireland, has been his main residence, although he has escaped to the United States on several occasions. There he lives with his wife, the renowned screenwriter and director Rebecca Miller, daughter of the famous playwright Arthur Miller. The couple put the finishing touch to their relationship in 1996 and have two children together: Ronan, 26, and Cashel, 22. The actor has another son from a former romance with the French actress Isabelle Adjani, with whom he had a six-year relationship.

Additionally, in the 1980s he was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, where he performed works such as Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream either Romeo and Juliet.
