The Chamber of Deputies plans to vote on the agreement for the integration of its 51 ordinary commissions between on October 15 and 16.
In accordance with the proportional distribution of the commissions, the parliamentary group of Brunette would preside between 25 and 26; he BREADseven; he PVEMsix; he P.T.five; he PRIfour, and MCthree.
The president of the Political Coordination Board and parliamentary leader of Morena in San Lázaro, Ricardo Monrealpointed out that his party would maintain the presidencies of key commissions such as those of Budget and Constitutional Points.
He admitted, however, that the Surveillance Commission of the Superior Audit of the Federationin charge of supervising the federal government’s oversight, would be headed by another political force.
Montreal recognized the difficulties in defining the presidencies of up to 26 commissions that would correspond to Morenawith a total of 253 deputies, in addition to the complexity of reaching agreements with its allies PVEM and PT, as well as with the opposition PAN, PRI and MC.
However, he hoped to achieve consensus within a period of twelve or thirteen more days.
“Next week, we think between Wednesday and Thursday, we will fine-tune everything so that we can be uploading it to the plenary session between October 15 and 16 to name the presidencies and also the members of each commission. Between 15 and 16, that is, second week or third week of October,” he pointed out.
Separately, the coordinator of the legislative faction of the PT, Reginaldo Sandoval, opted to maintain the four commissions currently headed by his party and one more.
“In the case of the PT, we would have five, and we would propose keeping the ones we have, Infrastructure, Welfare, Housing and Foreign Relations, and one more (…). There are conditions there to go for Security, Education or Communication,” he indicated.
Nor did he rule out seeking the presidency of some commission such as Justice, Defense, Labor.
The Political Coordination Board of the Chamber of Deputies will hold a working meeting next Monday to begin the discussion on the distribution of commissions.
