To contribute to knowing the nature that surrounds us, today the “Fall 2024 Naturalist Challenge”, by which citizens are invited take photographs of plants, fungi and animals from October 3 to 6 and upload your observations to the iNaturalistMx platformuntil October 13 so that experts can identify them.
“The Fall 2024 Naturalist Challenge is an initiative that is carried out in Mexico for society to participate in citizen science; Every year we organize two challenges, the spring challenge and the autumn challenge, and they are 3 days where we invite society to take photos of plants and animals and upload them to the iNaturalistaMX platform, which is free and can be downloaded from one free way,” said Carlos Galindo Leal, Mexican representative of the iNaturalist network.
The biologist highlighted that so far, more than 50 cities have registered and are participating “to see who obtains the greatest number of photographs of speciesand in that way, contribute to the knowledge of the nature of the country.”
