Former Fianna Fail deputy leader and ex-cabinet minister Mary O’Rourke dies aged 87

FORMER Minister Mary O’Rourke has died after almost three decades working as TD.

The Former Fianna Fail deputy leader passed away aged 87.

O’Rourke was first elected to the Dáil in the Longford-Westmeath constituency in November 1982.

And over the course of her career, the politician went on to hold a number of cabinet positions.
