Former mayor of Igualapa loots city hall – Grupo Milenio

The two-time PRD mayor of the municipality of Igualapa, Omar González Álvarez, appeared at the municipal palace to loot ittaking food supplies from the DIF, the federal government, furniture and hundreds of beers.

The new mayor, who emerged from the Guerrero Welfare Party, Alfredo González Nicolás, to date has not formally received the delivery-reception that former mayor Omar González should have carried out.

On Wednesday afternoon, the PRD councilor arrived at the Igualapa city hall with two trucks. three and a half tons to take chairs, desks, and groceries from the DIF that he said “I bought it with my money.”

In the presence of the head of the municipality’s internal control body, Eleuterio García Martínez, the former councilor arrived with a group of collaborators and began to loot the Igualapa commune.

Together with his people, he began to take toys, household appliances, groceries from the DIF, the federal government, armchairs, desks and other furniture that they found and took from the commune.

Before the eyes of the city council employees, elements of the Municipal Police and the Comptroller himself carried dozens of trays of beer that they had stacked from a warehouse.

In this regard, it was reported that hundreds of beers were stored and that they would be used in the Cry of Independence ceremony, when the former mayor’s daughter would be anointed as America’s queen of the National Holidays.

Although the celebrations took place, they did not take place in the town hall, but on the balcony of the Municipal Market, because the inhabitants of Igualapa had taken over the town hall, after alleged electoral fraud.

In Igualapa, there was an electoral dispute settled in federal electoral courts where finally Alfredo González Nicolás of the Bienestar Guerrero party won by a difference of more than one hundred votes.

Given the final resolution, the former mayor accompanied by his people proceeded to take away the DIF pantries that have a legend that reads “this program is public, unrelated to any political party, use for purposes other than those established in the program is prohibited.” ”, that mattered little to him.

In the presence of the new mayor, González Nicolás, they looted the resources of the local government, which according to the former PRD mayor he “had bought with his own money, with his own resources, not with money from the public treasury,” he shouted, and the comptroller Eleuterio García, he didn’t do anything.
