Governor of Guerrero does not confirm to Congress assistance in report – Grupo Milenio

Until now, Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda has not confirmed to the Congress of Guerrero whether she will appear before the plenary session to address a political messagewithin the framework of the Third Work Report.

On Tuesday, October 15, the office manager of the General Secretariat of Government, Ancleta López Vega, was at the facilities of the Legislative Branch of Guerrero, with the intention of delivering the document containing the Third Work Report.

In accordance with the Political Constitution of the State, the state president has the power to decide whether or not to go before the plenary session. to address a message of a political nature, in a solemn session in which he would also have the opportunity to listen to the position of the parliamentary groups and party representations.

This Thursday, October 17, two days after the Third Report was delivered to local deputies, the president of Jucupo highlighted that he is waiting for the governor to decide whether or not she will be before the plenary session, given that it is a power granted by law.

Meanwhile, in this Thursday’s sessionthe Board of Directors reported the receipt of the third report and confirmed that the document has already been distributede among the 46 local deputies of Guerrero.

In the event that the report is only delivered in writing, what will proceed is that the deputies will have to schedule a calendar of appearances for the office secretaries of the state administration, who will have to delve into the gloss of the document delivered.

The deputies have the legal power to define the calendar and times of appearances, in addition to establishing which ones take place before the Plenary Session and who can only appear before committees.

The president of the Jucupo considered that this is an important issuebecause we are already in the first half of the administration headed by Evelyn Salgado Pineda, the first woman to head the local Executive Branch.
