Kamala Harris outdoes the Republican Donald Trump by 47 to 40 percent in the race to win the US presidential election on November 5th by reducing the former president’s lead in issues such as the economy and employmentaccording to a survey by Reuters/Ipsos published on Tuesday.
Harris had a six percentage point lead according to unrounded figures, which showed her with 46.61 percent support of registered voters, while Trump was supported by 40.48%, according to the three-day survey which ended on Monday.
The Democrat’s lead was slightly larger than the five-point lead she had over Trump in a poll Reuters/Ipsos carried out between the September 11th and 12th.
Voters trust Trump on economy, unemployment and jobs
Asked which candidate had a better approach to “economy, unemployment and jobs“, about 43 percent of voters in the survey chose Trump and 41% to Harris.
Trump’s two-point lead on this issue compares with his three-point lead in the poll. Reuters/Ipsos in August and the 11-point gap in late July, shortly after Harris began her campaign.

Another survey of the CNN/SSRS placed Kamala Harris and Donald Trump still tied among potential voters before the November 5 elections.
The poll, conducted Sept. 19-22, showed Harris at 48 percent and Trump at 47 percent with six weeks to go in the campaign, according to CNN.
The poll, conducted among 2,074 registered voters, has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
