The Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco), through Consumer Magazine, in its October issue, warned about failures in the airbags of some models of the brand Sling.
In number 572 of the Consumer Magazinethe agency reported that these failures could affect just over 1,500 units in Mexico.
Profeco elected for failures in Honda cars
According to Consumer Magazine, the company Honda of Mexico SA de CV “detected that several cars could have problems with the air fairings.”
Profeco reported that “when the Takata brand air bags on the driver’s side, passenger’s side or both, the components of the inflator could be expelled abnormally into the interior of the vehicle, potentially injuring the occupants.”
This important problem, however, can be solved by replacing the inflators “front on the driver’s side, passenger’s side or both at no cost to the consumer” in the affected vehicles.
To do this, it is important to verify if you have one of the models at risk.
