MUSIC legend Elton John has said “it just makes me happy” as he praised Kneecap’s “amazing” music.
The Irish-language rap trio, Mo Chara, Moglai Bap and DJ Provai, are set to join Elton on his radio show Rocket Hour today.

The hip-hop trio, from west Belfast, are best known for rapping through the Irish language.
They released their first single C.E.A.R.T.A in 2017, followed by their first album, 3CAG, in 2018 and a second album, Fine Art, this year.
The band also won the Next Audience Award for their film, Kneecap, at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival back in January.
The movie is based on the origin story of the raucous trio and it stars the three lads in their acting debuts alongside Michael Fassbender.
Promoters have said the film, set in west Belfast in 2019, chronicles how fate brings the trio together and how they then go on to “change the sound of Irish music forever”.
It was the first Irish language project ever shown at the festival and it has now been released in cinemas.
And although they have been enjoying huge success lately, the lads were left shocked after receiving a shoutout from Elton John on his radio show back in July.
Today they are joining Elton on his popular show and they have shared a sneak peak of the interview to their Instagram.
Speaking on the show, Elton said: “I find that your music tackles controversial subjects and you said that unless we make a topic of it and unless we make fun of it, it’s never going to get any better.
“I think you’re very brave to do that, very brave to speak out and you come from a humorous place, it just makes me happy.”
The lads then began to laugh as he said: “Now you wouldn’t think an old softie like me would be interested in Kneecap but I am because the energy, the music the power, the power, the power, not many people have that power.
“I wish you so much luck on your touring, I’ll try come and track you down, give you a big hug and we’ll have a great time.
“But I think you’re amazing.”
DJ Provai then added: “Thanks Elton, thanks for having us.”
Sharing the clip to their social media, Kneecap wrote: “Well well a chairde Gael!

“We’re joining @eltonjohn on his #RocketHour radio show tomorrow (Saturday) on Apple Music (5pm BST).”
Fans and friends raced to the comment section with praise for the band.
Aisling said: “Their talent is real. And their motivations. Fair play Elton, he must have seen them live. You cannot unsee that. Go hiontach.”
Michelle wrote: “Lads you’ve made it.”
Danny gushed: “My heart swells. Absolute legends, all of ya!”
