Pamela told her fans that she did in fact miss the Maebe by Molly Mae collections first launch and has been on the hunt for some similar items.

The popular collection by former Love Island contestant Molly Mae sold out in 24 minutes, so it is no surprise some shoppers were left empty handed.

The collection of clothing pieces went live at 7pm and everything was gone in just ten minutes, apart from the plain white tee which sold out 14 minutes later.

But fear not as Pamela tells her fans that she has found an affordable dupe for two of the most popular items.

She tells her followers: “This is very similar to the cropped cardigan.”

The Cosy Cropped Cardigan in the colour grey retailed for £65 and came in sizes 2XS to 4XL on the Maebe website.

Pamela discovered a very similar dupe in none other than Dunnes Stores.

The Savida Phoebe Button Cardigan is currently available both online and in store for just €25.

It is available in sizes XXS to XXL and features the same high neckline and button up front.

But this is not the only dupe Pamela discovered to save shoppers pockets.

She said: “I have not worn a pair of jeans in, I would say, about 6 years, but these were calling my name.”

Pamela modelled the Savida Isla Barrel Jeans which are retailing for just €30.

“So these are very similar, they have got the seam down the centre just like the Maebe ones.”

Although the most noticeable difference is the hefty price difference.

Molly Mae’s Seam Detail Boyfriend Jeans in the colour Blue were on sale for a hefty £90.

According to Maebe’s official description: “The seam boyfriend denim jeans have been made so you can wear them every day, using high quality cotton mixed with a polyester for a softer and drapier fit.”

While the Dunnes Stores jeans are made of 99 per cent cotton.

Dunnes Stores bosses say: “From Savida, these jeans have a classic five pocket design, belt loops at the waistband, and a seam detail to the front.

“In a barrel fit, they will hug your hips, while offering a much looser fit around the thighs and knees, before elegantly tapering at the ankles.

“The epitome of effortlessly chic.”

Meanwhile, shoppers are rushing to buy a new skort after it landed on racks.

The Savida Phoebe Skort has landed on shelves and is also available online.

The pretty skort, available in black, is high-waisted and has two front pockets.

For just €25, it’s the perfect addition to your capsule wardrobe.

The cute skort ranges in a selection of sizes from XXS to XXL.

But many sizes have been snapped up online already.

THE HISTORY OF DUNNES STORES

DUNNES Stores opened its first store on Patrick Street in Cork in 1944 – and it was an instant hit.

Shoppers from all over the city rushed to the store to snap up quality clothing at pre-war prices in Ireland’s first ‘shopping frenzy’.

During the excitement, a window was forced in and the police had to be called to help control the crowds hoping to bag founder Ben Dunne’s ‘Better Value’ bargains.

Dunnes later opened more stores in the 1950s and began to sell groceries in 1960 – starting with apples and oranges.

The retailer said: “Fruit was expensive at the time and Ben Dunne yet again offered Better Value than anyone else in town.

“Over time, our food selection has grown and that spirit of good value has remained strong.

“Now we offer a wide range of carefully-sourced foods from both local Irish suppliers and overseas.”

The retailer’s first Dublin store opened its doors in 1957 on Henry Street and a super store on South Great Georges Street was unveiled in 1960.

They added: “In 1971, our first Northern Irish store opened, and many others soon followed.

“Expansion continued in the 1980s in Spain, and later into Scotland and England.”

Dunnes now has 142 stores and employs 15,000 people.
