The White House announced that the delegation that will participate in the inauguration of Claudia Sheinbaum as President of Mexico will be headed by the first lady, Jil Biden, along with 9 other high-ranking officials.
This confirms what the president-elect had announced in previous days. In his announcement, the president of the United States, Joe Biden, detailed that on October 1, in addition to the first lady, the United States ambassador to Mexico, Ken Salazar, the Secretary of Health, Xavier Becerra, the Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, the head of the US Small Business Administration, Isabel Casillas, the senator for Connecticut, Chris Murphy, the representative for California and head of the Hispanic Caucus, Nanette Barragán, the White House National Security Assistant, Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall, the White House social assistant, Carlos Elizondo, and the mayor of Tucson, Arizona, Regina Romero, will attend.
