Karime Pindter achieves another of her dreams, sharing her stand up “From the Hand of the Lord”, a special that premieres on October 17 on Comedy Central and Paramount Plus, in an interview with MILENIO he talked about what he had to do to achieve it.
“Who has already had the opportunity to see this stand up special You can tell because of the name, we make fun of it a little with that play on words, which the gentleman gave me. One of my big dreams in life was to do my stand-up special on Paramount plus, I wanted it for many years and I was taking classes,” he said.
There was a first attempt and it didn’t turn out the way she wanted, she also took acting classes, As a clown, he started writing, went to open mics, in addition to opening shows for different comedians, to achieve his goal.
“I have a very funny life, at some point I could have felt sorry for my roots or where I had to go through, what I had to do or what people think it’s like to work at Aca Shore, how I like men and it’s a little bit of everything. In the end it has a message of empowerment, what better than making fun of your story and yourself,” he said.
Even though there were nerves about doing stand-up and standing in front of the publicthis was his dream and he knew that to achieve it, in addition to preparing, he had to be constant. In the first version he remembered that he had help from important people but the text was not his words, so he did it again until he managed to put his seal on it.
“The first open mics were not easy and it is horrible to get on (on stage) and don’t laugh, but as you prepare more and get on, you achieve it. I went to all kinds of places, punks, marijuana joints, a speakeasy, the Woco Comedy Club, La casa de la comedia, everywhere. Mau Nieto and Alex Fernández gave me the opportunity to open a show for them and I gave it my all,” he confessed.
His participation in “The House of the Famous” was a window where he showed his current personality, where he made clear the management of his emotions, whether or not there was frustration when he saw that at first people were not laughing, it was not something that influenced his mood, “the first thing I thought was that It was an open, I was nervous and with the help of my acting coach and comedy team, they taught me that this is enjoyable and flows. At first I was very nervous, I wanted everything to turn out perfect and then I said no, go up and talk and laugh at your anecdotes, I started to enjoy it more and more until this piece came out.”
The beginning of the video shows a clip where Karime sings and although she has never wanted to be a singer, He likes to play songs to have fun and laugh. “I love these Mexican reggaeton rhythms and I said I’m going to sing a little intro song, which totally takes you into what the show is going to be like.”
Telling her true story could leave her vulnerable, However, she knows that if she has thick skin and a sensitive heart it is a consequence of the path she has taken to turn her dreams into reality and although she had some difficult moments, she has enjoyed others very much and everything has led her to this point.
“I want to give you this special gift so that you can die of laughter, I am the happiest in the world.”(I want) you to know my story and behind this stand up that is my life as a rockstar in my twenties, in my adolescence and throughout this era. It is a story of struggle and how I got ahead and was able to empower others,” he said.
