Malik Nabers, New York Giants catcher confessed how scared he was when not being able to remember anything about the play in which he suffered a concussion in the week 4 game that his team lost to the Dallas Cowboys and that made him miss the recent two games of the NFL season.
“The truth is that it has been terrifying not remembering what happened. “I can’t remember the last play I was on the field for and yes that’s a little scary,” explained the 21-year-old rookie who is in his first season with the Giants.
Nabers suffered the concussion on September 26 in a play in which to make a great reception on a pass from Daniel Jonesas he fell, as his hands were busy holding the ball to ensure the catch, his face, protected by the helmet mask, hit directly against the playing field.  
“The last thing I remember was Jones throwing the ball to me. That was it, after that I have nothing,” said the selection in the first round of last April’s draft by the New Yorkers through NBC’s ‘Pro football talk’.
The player missed the team’s next two games because he experienced pain and palpitations in his head after the event.
Last Thursday was discharged from concussion protocol So he said he is fine to return to the field this Sunday in the duel in which the Giants will host the Philadelphia Eagles.
“My health is the most important thingso I didn’t really feel frustrated. “Now I’m really ready to get back on the field,” he said.
As one of the security measures thate Nabers will adopt to return to play having changed the helmet model which he used to better protect himself from future concussions, although He also ruled out the possibility of use a ‘Guardian Cap’, padded protections that several players have used in regular season games to reduce the force of impacts to the head.
“I changed my helmet, So I’m not sure I need a ‘Guardian Cap’ because I have a new helmet, that’s the decision I made,” he concluded.
