The Governor of Quintana Roo Mara Lezama Espinosa attended the presentation made by Admiral Rafael Ojeda Durán, Secretary of the Navy, Admiral Raymundo Pedro Morales Ángeles, appointed by President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum as the next head of SEMAR.
The presentation took place at the SEMAR offices, where Governor Mara Lezama expressed her greetings to the people of Quintana Roo and offered the collaboration of her humanistic and progressive government for the continuity of the projects that benefit the families of Quintana Roo, as well as for the advancement of the second floor of the Fourth Transformation in the entity.
These projects include joint and coordinated work to build peace and a strategy to address and contain sargassum on the beaches of Quintana Roo.
Admiral Raymundo Pedro Morales Ángeles has held important positions such as: Commander of the Ninth Naval Zone, Commander of the Thirteenth Naval Zone, Director of the Center for Higher Naval Studies, Deputy Naval Attaché to the Mexican Embassy in the United States of America, to mention a few.
He has received several decorations, including: First Class Naval Teaching Merit, Special Medal of the Inter-American Defense Board, and the Inter-American Naval Telecommunications Network.
