Margarita González Saravia protested as constitutional governor of state of Morelos, by the coalition Let’s keep making historyfor the period 2024-2030.
Minutes after 00:00, González Saravia Calderón entered the plenary session of the local Legislative Branch, where the legislators of Morena and Movimiento Ciudadano, as well as the Institutional Revolutionary parties (PRI), National Action (BREAD), of Work (P.T.), Verde Ecologista de México (PVEM) and Nueva Alianza, who witnessed the assumption of the governorship of the first woman in the history of the state, founded in 1869.
After protesting the position of governor, González Saravia Calderón called on the inhabitants to recover their dignity as Morelenses, in clear reference to the periods of their predecessors, Graco Ramirez Garrido Abreu and of Cuauhtémoc Blanco Bravoefforts characterized by confrontation and the entry into the entity of officials from outside the state.
“Let’s recover dignity of our identity, the pride of being from Morelos. That love that will take us along the path of peace, justice and freedom,” he stated.
In her speech, the governor assured that one of the nodal points of her administration will be the frontal fight against corruption and impunityas well as recovering peace in Morelos.
He assured that the peace building will be the main task of his government”, therefore, he announced that the phenomenon of insecurity and crime.
“We all want to live in peace and harmony. We will not rest on a substantial transformation for the good of all,” he stressed.
He added that, to achieve the proposed transformation, a work close to the federal governmentwhich starting this Tuesday will be headed by Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum.
“We will maintain close collaboration with the federal government in all areas of public service…we are united by the desire to build a profound transformation for the good of the people of Morelos, based on the principles of not lying, not stealing and not betraying” , held.
With a 48.15 percent of the votes, According to the final count of the calculations of the National Electoral Institute (INE), Saravia was positioned as election winnersurpassing her opponents Lucía Meza Guzmán and Jessica María Guadalupe Ortega de la Cruz, who obtained the 38.89% and 11.11% of the votes, respectively.

She was general director of the National Lottery and has held various public positions, including Undersecretary of Tourism of Morelos, Secretary of Economic Development and Tourism of Cuernavaca, and Secretary of Tourism and Culture of Morelos.
