Marvel Studios has surprised fans with the release of the first trailer for ‘Thunderbolts’, one of the most films expected from Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The tape, which brings together a group of antiheroeshas generated great expectations due to the arrival of new characters and the return of other already known ones. We tell you everything you need to know about this new film.
Who are the Thunderbolts?
The Thunderbolts team is made up of characters who have appeared in different MCU films and seriesmany of them with a problematic past or who have operated on the limits of morality.
Confirmed cast members for the film include:
Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh): Natasha Romanoff’s adopted sister, who has gained popularity after her participation in Black Widow and Hawkeye.
Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan): A key character in the MCU, Captain America’s best friend with a dark past as an assassin manipulated by HYDRA.
John Walker / US Agent (Wyatt Russell): Captain America’s controversial successor in The Falcon and the Winter Soldierwho left his mark with his extreme methods.
Red Guardian (David Harbour): The Russian equivalent of Captain America and father figure to Yelena Belova, who returns after his appearance in Black Widow.
Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko): A character with the ability to replicate the movements of her opponents, also seen in Black Widow.
Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen): Introduced in Ant-Man and The Wasphas the ability to become intangible and is marked by her desire to survive.
What is it about?Thunderbolts’?
Although the official synopsis has not yet been revealed, the first trailer shows that theThe story revolves around the Countess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), who recruits this diverse group of antiheroes and villains to carry out clandestine missions for the United States government.
The first trailer showed the long-awaited reunion of said team also advancing the appearance of the character Sentrycalled Bob in the trailer. Sentry, real name Robert Reynolds, is a superhero in the Marvel Universe who made his comic book debut in The Sentry #1 (2000).
Created by Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee, Sentry is one of Marvel’s most powerful characters, often described as a “Superman” of this universealthough with a much more complex and dark history.
When will it be released in Mexico?
‘Thunderbolts’ is scheduled to be released on April 30, 2025although in Mexico it can be seen a day later, May 1st
