The concerts of Metallica in Mexico City are proving to be an unprecedented experience. With an impressive stage, the legendary rock band has done everything to provide an unforgettable experience for its fans and James and company have surprised everyone by performing one of the most iconic songs of Mexican rock.
It was on the first date, last Friday, September 20, when Metallica brought out their Mexican side and performed their own version of La Chona, a famous song by The Toucans of Tijuanamaking more than 50 thousand people who gathered at the renovated GNP Seguros Stadium dance.

It was at his second concert in Mexico City held this Sunday, September 22, when the bassist Robert Trujillo (who has Mexican roots) was in charge of interpreting Black Tomasa, of Caifanes.
If seeing Metallica isn’t enough, the band has been known for offering a completely different setlist for each concert, making each date a unique experience.
Metallica is expected to continue surprising in the two remaining shows, but the question now is which Mexican song will they sing.

These dates mark the band’s long-awaited return to Aztec lands, as their last visit to Mexico was in 2017 and this time they will perform at the recently inaugurated GNP Seguros Stadium.
