GOLF

Zac Georgantas has loaded up on the hardware over the past week.

Days after winning the Division 2 South and Hockomock League titles, the Foxboro junior standout won the Div. 2 state title in a playoff at the Berkshire Hills Country Club, outlasting Pope Francis’ Michael McGrath. After both golfers shot a 1-under-71, they marched out to the 10th hole where Georgantas prevailed to grab medalist honors.

Westwood’s Patrick Dalton, Newburyport’s Gavin Goich, Whitinsville Christian’s Gabe Deters and Bishop Stang’s Matt Oliveira finished third for at 73, while Westwood’s Lily Guleserian, Old Rochester’s Peter le Gassick and Nashoba Regional’s Troy Gregg checked in at 74.

McGrath’s effort helped lead Pope Francis to the Div. 2 state team title with a 20-over-par 308, two strokes ahead of Nashoba Regional, Westwood and Old Rochester. Nauset rounded out the top five with a 316.

FIELD HOCKEY

Jordi Higgins contributed her seventh hat trick of the season, while Lilly Marchand had a goal and three assists as Bishop Feehan (12-4) beat Bishop Fenwick 6-0 to clinch the Catholic Central League title.

Quinn Jordan registered a pair of goals, as Sandwich (18-0) remained perfect with a 3-0 nonleague shutout of Hingham. … Shelby Locascio scored twice for Barnstable in a 2-1 win over Dartmouth. … Kaitlin Chun (two goals) and Avery Crapo (goal) scored for St. John Paul II in a 3-1 win over Bishop Stang. … Ava Korisianos scored the only goal for St. Mary’s (Lynn) (13-3-1) in a 1-0 win over Beverly.

Ellie Ines tallied two goals for Lincoln-Sudbury in a 3-0 Dual County League win over Westford Academy.

Sarah Cort scored the lone goal as Manchester-Essex (12-2-2) edged Pentucket 1-0 in a Cape Ann League clash. … Taylor Valiton scored a goal and dished an assist as Lynnfield defeated Amesbury, 3-0.

Rachel Walden netted two goals, and Alannah Waters and Lila Yamin scored also as Silver Lake (11-5-1) defeated Whitman-Hanson 4-1 in the Patriot League. … Delaney Nugent and Avery Bridgett recorded a hat trick each, and Kk Hussey and Colleen Clancy scored also for Duxbury in an 8-1 win over Pembroke.

Crystal Merino and Ava Nartiff scored two goals apiece, and Chloe Pickett had a goal and an assist as Methuen (8-9) defeated Dracut 6-0 in the Merrimack Valley Conference. … Cora Grundy and Caroline Pitts got the goals for Chelmsford in a 2-1 win against North Andover.

Taylor Henry and Megan Huntington potted two goals each, and Kelsey McCleary provided three assists as Attleboro upended Sharon 8-0 in Hockomock League play. … Shannon Lane buried a hat trick for Canton in a 9-0 win over Stoughton. … Raena Crandall and Haley Wernig scored a hat trick each for Franklin (16-1-0) in an 8-0 victory over Milford.

Sydney Crane, Maddy Brenneman, and Jolee Flynn each tallied a goal as they led Natick to a 3-1 win over Dover Sherborn in the Bay State League.

Brooke Malmquist scored a hat trick for Medfield in a 4-0 Tri-Valley League win over Bellingham.

In the Massachusetts Bay Independent League, Bennett Plosker scored the only goal for Covenant Christian in a 1-0 win over Boston Trinity.

In a South Coast Conference meeting, Emile Joseph made 10 saves for his 11th shutout on the season as Old Rochester silenced Greater New Bedford, 2-0.

Peter Cloherty netted his fifth goal of the season in the second half to lift Arlington (12-2-3) to a 1-0 Middlesex League win over Woburn. … Jacob Frank scored the lone goal as Reading (7-7-0) edged Winchester, 1-0.

Gianna Rosa (two goals), Hanelie Cadet (goal) and Maggie Hart (goal) scored as Avon defeated South Shore Voke 4-1 in the Mayflower Athletic Conference.

Raegan Dillon scored twice and dished out three assists, and Ellie Collette got the clean sheet as St. John Paul II bested Dennis-Yarmouth 6-0 in the Cape and Islands League.

Paige Flanders (two goals, assist) and Ally Kelley (goal, two assists) paced Norwell during a 7-1 South Shore League win over East Bridgewater. … Brianna Ramos buried the game-winning goal with 12 minutes left in regulation, as Hull (11-1-4) stormed back from a two-goal deficit for a wild 4-3 win over Cohasset.

Arden McCarthy and Grace Schwartz scored two goals each, while Cece Levrault finished with a goal and two assists as Apponequet (10-7-0) routed Fairhaven 9-2 in a South Coast Conference matchup.

Katherine Ramirez erupted for four goals, and Mayra Correia tacked on a fifth goal as Cathedral (9-5) defeated Maimonides 5-1 in a nonleague contest. … Georgia Prouty struck for four goals and dished an assist to Maddie Hanas as Danvers (12-2-3) defeated Andover, 5-1.

Sam Baker had a hat trick and an assist, Keira Long had two goals and an assist, and Liz Curtis added the last goal as Hanover (11-5-1) defeated Plymouth South, 6-2, in the Patriot League.

Haley Carter supplied 25 assists, while Julia Leonardo collected 13 kills and four digs and Addie Shelton had 12 kills, two aces and five digs as Attleboro bested Sharon 3-0 in Hockomock League action. … Clare Kavolius provided 15 assists, while Addyson Smock finished with five kills and four blocks and Taylor Donohue registered 10 kills as Oliver Ames defeated North Attleboro, 3-0. … Fiona Bailey registered five kills and nine aces, while Tamanda Clarke and Madison Asprelli had four aces each as King Philip (13-6) beat Taunton, 3-0.

Maggie Luke tallied 30 assists and five aces, while Riley Russell notched nine kills and Tessa McDonald floored eight kills as Chelmsford swept North Andover 3-0 to win its first Merrimack Valley Conference I title since 2005.

In a Southeast Conference contest, Chloe McKinnon went 32-for-34 at the net with 17 kills as Dartmouth defeated Durfee, 3-0.

Amanda Hughes surpassed 500 career kills with 14 on the night, and Emma Chevalier dished out 27 assists as Lynn Classical (15-3) took down Somerville 3-0 in the Greater Boston League.

Rylie Stromme had 14 service points, 11 receptions and five kills as Billerica beat Central Catholic 3-0 in a nonleague contest. … Lila Moniz scattered 18 kills, while Greta Sachs chipped in with 12 kills and Eva Burke had 34 assists as Marblehead (10-6) defeated Haverhill, 3-1.
