The coordinator of the PAN in the Chamber of Deputies, Noemí Luna, urged President Claudia Sheinbaum to set an example and abide by the law, addressing the suspensions issued by various judges against the reform of the Judiciary.
“The President of the Republic must set an example and abide by the law, as she promised when she protested. In any democratic country that safeguards the rule of law, objections to judicial decisions are resolved by exhausting the means of challenge and not by threats of complaints against the issuer,” he pointed out.
Luna therefore asked Sheinbaum to authorize the head of the Ministry of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, to appear before the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies to explain the intimidation of the Judiciary and the regime’s refusal to comply with suspensions that order the judicial reform to stop. .
“Freedom and sovereignty cannot be threatened by threats or blackmail,” said the Zacatecas legislator.
He reminded the President that, by putting the country at risk through a constitutional crisis, she and her government also tend to collapse by failing – without foundation or motivation – to comply with what the Political Constitution mandates, since it does not understand that it is violating human rights and guarantees, not only nationally but internationally.
Representative Noemí Luna called on the head of the Executive not to be afraid of the law and to wait for the resolutions on the more than 70 amparos filed and suspensions issued, as well as the constitutional controversy presented by the government of Guanajuato, two actions of unconstitutionality promoted by PAN and PRI, and a request to exercise the power of the so-called “consultation pending.”
He also expressed his concern about the delay of the General Directorate of Legal Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies, headed by Adolfo Román Montero, who has not responded about the existence of provisional and definitive suspensions of the reform of the Judiciary, and has not reported the effects of said limitations for the discussion of that modification and whether or not this sovereignty fought them.
