PRI requests return of the Fonden to assist victims in Edomex- Grupo Milenio

The municipality of Jilotzingo, in the State of Mexico, was hit by rain, as happened in Acapulco, Chalco, Naucalpan and many other municipalities in the country without the federal authorities come to the support of affected families in their homes and belongings, denounced the senator of the PRI Parliamentary Group in the Senate, Cristina Ruiz Sandoval.

The legislator assured that the PRI party has insisted on the federal government so that those affected are cared for, because people’s lives are a priority for PRI legislators.

In this sense, Ruiz Sandoval presented a Point of Agreement to request aid for the municipality of Santa Ana Jilotzingo, in the state of Mexico so that the Morena government in the neighboring entity attends to the affected people.

“I want to share with you that, since August 2020, Mexico does not have insurance against damages, especially natural damages. 1,537 days have passed, and Mexicans still do not have insurance against floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, cyclones, fires, among others,” he denounced.

For this reason, “today we want to make visible in this space, make evident what happened in the municipality of the State of Mexico, Santa Ana, Jilotzingo. These are events that the Municipal President Ana Teresa Casas experienced, who accompanies us today and is with us, and we have to make visible the need that Fonden needs.”

He recalled that in past sessions he presented, together with the coordinator of the PRI bench, Manuel Añorve, an initiative to return the Fonden, to which this Point of Agreement is added to request help from the municipality of Santa Ana Jilotzingo, and that the Morena government in the state of Mexico cares for the affected people.
