Mexican peso and BMV decline while waiting for inflation figures
The Mexican peso fell with a decrease of 0.39 percenton Tuesday, October 8, 2024, closing at 19.34 units per dollar.
The above happened while investors were waiting US and local economic dataespecially on inflation, at the same time as the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) retreated.
This week inflation figures will be known at the local level and for the world’s leading economy, which will shed light on the path of monetary policy.
“Towards overnight, we anticipate a range between 19.30 and 19.42 pesos, considering the current consolidation pause, waiting for local inflation data tomorrow,” noted the Monex brokerage in a research note.
