Dutch media company PXR will be the new licensee of four sports and lifestyle magazines from Hearst Netherlands, the company announced in a press release. These are Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Bicycling and Runner’s World.
“The partnership will officially start on October 1, 2024, and the transition of Hearst’s publishing activities to PXR will take place in phases. From October, PXR will publish the print editions of the various titles. In the following months, we will gradually work on a smooth transfer of the online activities.”
It is not known what the personnel consequences are. In June it was announced that Hearst new licensing partner wanted for the sports titles.
PXR is active with multiple brands with themes around sports, lifestyle, technology and automotive. PXR publishes Voetbal International and VoetbalPrimeur, among others. In recent years, PXR has expanded its portfolio with Bright.nl, Scientias.nl and Autoblog.nl, among others.
