Rent tax credit increase CONFIRMED for 2 years in Budget 2025 on €1k or €2k paid straight into thousands of accounts

THE RENTERS tax credit will increase by €250, bringing the payment to €1,000 and €2,000 for a couple, it has been revealed.

Finance Minister Jack Chambers confirmed the renter’s tax rise during the Budget 2025 announcement – which will see the credit rise to 1,000 for an individual and €2,000 for a jointly assessed couple for 2024 and 2025.
