During the passage of the tropical storm Nadinea dolphin was stranded on the coast of Mahahualin the municipality of Othón P. Blanco, Quintana Roo.
The cetacean was found by local residentswho quickly organized to carry out their rescue.
The community effort was captured on video and shared on social networks by the governor of Quintana Roo, Maria Elena Mara Lezamawho praised the work of the residents.
“I want to share this video with you, In Mahahual a dolphin was stranded and the locals did this extraordinary job to return it to its habitat. How wonderful,” said the state president.
In the images, you can see the participation of more than ten people who, with a joint effort, managed to carry the dolphin and return it to the sea.
Tropical Storm “Nadine”
The emergence of the tropical storm Nadine in the Atlantic aroused attention of the meteorological authorities due to the high cyclonic activity that characterizes the 2024 season.
This phenomenon adds to the cyclone list that emerged in recent weeks, a season marked by the climatic transition between the El Niño and La Niña phenomenawhich contributed to an increase in the formation of tropical systems in both basinsboth in the Pacific as in the Atlantic.
