A pleasant tactile experience

The expert reminds us that, in addition to a floor that is pleasant to walk on, the most important thing in choosing the floor is that it is non-slip, since the bathroom is the place in the house where there are the most falls.

Besides, For both the walls and the floor, water-resistant, durable, safe and easy-to-clean materials must be chosen..

“Ceramic flooring and wall coverings are the most used in our bathrooms today. For me it is the best option, because the vast majority of manufacturing companies are from our country, so they are a material very close to our customs and identity. It doesn’t crack, it doesn’t stain, it’s easy to clean… and for those who don’t like joints too much, there are the large format pieces that are the most sold at the moment along with the small format pieces that look more artisanal.” explains María Lledó.

There is one issue that we must take into account: the textures of the bathroom, If they are created from materials of natural origin, they will always seem more pleasant to us.

In the proposal, interior designer María Acha chooses to combine smooth walls of 100% natural clay mortar, from Ecoclay, with others covered in natural stone mosaic, from Bilazu. The flooring, for its part, is by Marazzi.
