The simple removable dress that Ángela combined with a family diamond and ruby tiara for her wedding in Seville

Organizing a wedding in five months is a real challenge, and it may seem complicated, but when you are clear about what you want, why wait? That was what Ángela and Pablo thought after getting engaged after six years of relationship and a curious anecdote (which includes a Coca-Cola and a ham sandwich). From the beginning, they knew that they wanted to say ‘I do’ in the Seville Cathedral and, later, celebrate their love at Casa Guardiola, the bride’s family home. This was not the only nod to her loved ones that Ángela had, since she also accompanied her beautiful, elegant and timeless design by Pol Núñez with a spectacular ruby and diamond tiara that belonged to her grandmother, as well as some earrings from her cousin. We tell you all the details of this beautiful link which was celebrated on the eve of Christmas.

Ángela was clear that, for her, the most important thing when it comes to dressing is to be comfortable and confident, and she did not want to give up those maxims at her wedding. “Above all, on such a significant and special day, where you have to enjoy it to the fullest without worries and you want to remember this day with great affection,” he explains. “Following trends may give you more options when choosing your perfect design, but I think you have to choose something that you identify with one hundred percent, and even more so for the most important moment of your life, where you have to go. happy and at ease.”

In his case, he started from the base that he wanted something comfortable, with which he could move well and not stop dancing all day! “I thought of something classic, simple but elegant, and that had some familiar details, like the Chantilly lace that we put on the back,” she tells us.

In the end, he trusted Pol Núñez to make the dress of her dreams come true, a designer with whom she had a great feeling from the beginning, since, as she says, he knew how to advise her and define the style taking her opinion into account. “She gave me confidence from the first visit, always respecting what I wanted as a bride. I think that is essential when someone makes your dress for the most important day of your life, that they understand perfectly what you want, and that you have the confidence to tell him how you see yourself, of course with him contributing his professionalism.

This bride confesses to us that in the first tests she was a little expectant regarding the opinions, something normal at the beginning of a process as exciting and magical as this one, since the options are endless. However, little by little he was defining with Pol what he really wanted: “at a time when I had all the possible hands on my hands with various ideas, I looked in the mirror and said ‘this is what I want’. The months before wedding, where you have so many open fronts, it is very important to be accompanied to the tests by your trusted people. For her, they were her sister, her mother and her aunt, with whom she lived precious moments that, without a doubt, she will always remember.

Faced with the trend of wearing more than one bridal style, more and more brides prefer to wear a single look, into which they have put all their love. This was the case of Ángela, who, having opted for a comfortable and elegant design, was able to be with him until the end of the wedding. In addition, her dress added a large removable overskirt that she took off for the dance, since she wanted to enter the church with an impressive train but that would not hinder her all day.

Ángela reveals to us that, for her, it is very important to comply with traditions on such an important day, especially to bring something from her loved ones. “I love the idea of borrowing something, it makes it more special and familiar. I wore my grandmother’s lace and tiara, and my cousin’s earrings, a complete one!”

A spectacular family tiara

Just take a look at this bridal look to see that jewelry played a very important role in it, and that it perfectly accompanied the elegant, timeless and minimalist aesthetic of the dress. The jewel in the crown, never better said, is the ruby and diamond tiara belonging to Angela’s maternal grandmother, which all the women in the family wear on their big day.

In addition, she opted for some earrings that also had a family meaning: “They were brilliant ones that my cousin Ana Pacheco lent me, which my mother had previously given her for her wedding. Everything stays in the family! On the other hand, she wore the ring of order, which was made of diamonds, which we designed at Romu jewelry. And lastly, the wedding rings were given to us by some friends from Román Joyeros.”

As a bouquet, I was looking for one with a wild but simple style with powdery tones that fit the season, Christmas Eve. “I left the choice to Flowers By Clara, who made me small replicas of my same bouquet, so I could give it to my friends during the dance and, in addition, was in charge of all the decoration of Casa Guardiola, all in accordance with the date of the celebration with lots of greenery, heather centers and pomegranates to give it a Christmas touch and indirect lighting, with candles everywhere”.

The details of the beauty look

As for makeup, she chose Julia Hidalgo for herself as well as for her mother, grandmother and sister. “I wanted something super natural, so I did a test with her on the day of my order, and I loved it. For the hairstyle, I felt comfortable with a braid, a hairstyle that I have been using all my life, and I had Bruno Pantoja, trusted family hairdresser, with whom I felt comfortable asking for any changes I needed.

The beginning of your fairy tale story

Ángela and Pablo met through mutual friends, but, as she remembers, they became closer when they walked together from the Brotherhood of Triana to Rocío in the same group of friends. “From then on, it became my unconditional love. We both love this time of year, it is very special, and to this day, we have not missed a single year, and I hope we can do it all our lives, together, and with our family and friends”.

After six years of dating, Pablo decided to ask the big question and, just five months later, they were saying ‘I do’. “Why wait any longer, if the date was perfect, and everything we wanted was available!” She explains, adding that one of the anecdotes she remembers most fondly from the months before the wedding was the way her boyfriend asked her father for her hand.

The curious story of the request

“Pablo knew that he wanted to propose to me, but my father, jealous of his girls, always jokingly said that he would never give her my hand, and, as an absolute fan of a cold Coca-Cola and a ham sandwich, it was the only condition that he “So, how brave he was, he showed up at home one day, without me knowing it of course, with both things in hand, and when my father opened the door, he already knew what he was coming to.”

“I always dreamed of getting married, surrounded by my family and friends. The date chosen was Christmas Eve, Friday, December 1, 2023, to give me time to organize the wedding, get married, the honeymoon and arrive in time to enjoy of Christmas as a family” he says. Although five months to organize a wedding may seem like a short time, they achieved it thanks to the help of their family, who, as Angela jokes, already have a master’s degree in these events.

The wedding took place in the Virgen de los Reyes Chapel, in the Cathedral of Seville, where the bride arrived arm in arm with her father and godfather, the Sevillian sculptor Nacho Fal. “There the nerves increase, seeing you walking down the red carpet, arm in arm with your father, your sister leading your train, and your future husband waiting for you at the altar with the rest of your family… it gives a little panic,” she confesses. However, emotion and happiness always prevail.

After the religious ceremony, they returned with their guests to Casa Guardiola, Angela’s family home, where she had previously prepared. The banquet, which began with a cocktail, was hosted by Alda and Terry. After dinner, the couple opened the dance to the rhythm of Wedding Nights, sung by the group Los Alpresa, who were followed by DJ Staffsound along with violinist Cuver.

Your recommendations for future brides and grooms

“When it comes to organizing a wedding, all the recommendations and advice are good,” says Ángela, although she adds that for her the most important thing is to try to capture and keep in memory all the details, moments, feelings, dances, looks, words and your partner’s happy face. “That feeling is incredible and unforgettable, and unfortunately it passes very quickly, so you have to keep absolutely every second you have lived, to be able to relive it as many times as you want once that maelstrom of emotions has passed.”

She is clear that the most special thing about the day was being able to gather her family and friends in one place so that they could witness their love. “That day everything is happiness and emotion, feelings are on the surface, and you need to be surrounded by everyone you love and who loves you.” As for the moments she remembers most fondly, it is difficult for her to list them because, for her, everything was absolutely magical: “when I put on my suit and my family and friends saw me coming down the stairs for the first time; the entrance to the church, on the arm of my father, and at the altar Pablo waiting for me with the rest of the family and leaving the church on the arm of my now husband; the dance with my father where now watching the videos I see that the majority of the wedding was very excited; of course the delivery of the bouquets, especially that of my sister Carmen and my mother with their favorite songs, and finally, when during the party they sang the Salve Rociera where we all joined together very excitedly remembering each one of their good moments in El Rocío “.
