Within the framework of the world cup final archery that takes place in Tlaxcala, the state governor, Lorena Cuellar Cisnerosinaugurated the Archery development academy, a place where the sport is sought to become popular and to work with new talents in this discipline.
“This first Academy is an effort between the state government of Tlaxcala, World Archery México and the international World Archery, with the purpose of developing archery. We want to replicate this project in other cities and states.so that children do not have to travel by public transport and can find decent spaces. It is a 100 percent accessible Academy for people with disabilities and what is sought is for people to start practicing archery more and to be a seedbed,” said the president of World Archery Mexico, Gabriel Ramos.
A few weeks ago, the archer Alejandra Valencia He expressed his concern because in Mexico there were no Academies to have a breeding ground for archers in our country, so Ramos pointed out that the installation in Tlaxcala is the first of several that they intend to do in the Mexican Republic.

“We are listening to all the voices, I talked a lot with Alejandra and we had a meeting with the governor of Sonora to do in that state what we are doing in Tlaxcala, The response was very positive, so we will be doing an Academy together with Alejandra in Hermosilloalso in two other municipalities of that state. We already have interaction with the Governments and we are going to replicate the same model to have more decent facilities that help us develop our athletes,” Ramos said.
Archery in our country has achieved a silver and two bronze medals in the Olympicsso with the Academies they seek to continue adding prizes in that type of competition.
“We seek to maintain and increase the result and success of Olympic medals, but we also want the development of archery as a social sport and inclusive sport, so the fundamental part is to have massification with order and training,” said Ramos.
