What states will Hurricane Milton affect?
The category 4 cyclone is expected to cause loccasional torrential rains in Campeche and Yucatán; intense occasional events in Puebla, Veracruz, Tabasco and Quintana Roo; and heavy occasional rains in Tamaulipas, San Luis PotosÃ, Hidalgo and Tlaxcala.
Meanwhile, yesGusts of wind of 120 to 140 km/h, waves of 5 to 7 meters high and possible formation of waterspouts are expected on the Campeche and Yucatan coasts; as well as gusts of 80 to 100 km/h with waves of 3 to 5 meters high on the coast of Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Tabasco and Quintana Roo.
Due to the force of the hurricane, Conagua established a prevention zone from Celestún to RÃo Lagartos, Yucactán; hurricane surveillance zone from RÃo Lagartos to Cabo Catoche, Yucatán, and from Campeche, Campecha, to Celestún, Yucatán, and tropical storm prevention zone from RÃo Lagartos, Yucatán, to Cancún, Quintana Roo.
