A SAVVY shopper has revealed there’s an Amazon product she swears by when it comes to avoiding putting her heating on.
As the cold weather shows no sign of going anywhere, millions of people have already resorted to whacking up the thermostat to keep their houses warm.

But, according to one woman, they just need to get themselves to Amazon, for a must-buy that’s currently on offer on the website for just £16.99.
Raving about the MONHOUSE Premium Soft Fleece Electric Blanket, she wrote: “I love this!
“It means I can switch my central heating off completely at night! My dog loves it too so he tries to push me out.
“My only regret is I didn’t buy it sooner! I grew up using them as we had no central heating but stopped using it when we got heating put in 20 years ago.

“Now that electricity is so expensive, this is fantastic!”
She even took it upon herself to work out how much the blanket costs to run.
“For the single single size, 35 W (think that’s the max temperature control) then it costs 2p per hour,” she said.
“If you use for 10 hours, 20p total! A no brainer!!!”
“I’ve used the blanket the last two nights, as per instructions, warm up for an hour on setting 3, then reduce to 1,” another said.
“I switch it off altogether when I get in bed, and just drift off in a nice, warm bed.
“The best two nights’ sleep I’ve had in a while, and I don’t wake up cold in the night.
“The blanket is nice and fleecy beneath my valance sheet, I can’t feel the heating elements.”
While a third said they use the blanket to “keep warm for peanuts”.
“This little gem costs only 40 watts an hour on maximum heat setting,” they explained.
“The average electric room heater is 2,000 watts. Do the maths – it’s incredibly cheap to warm the human rather than the whole room.
“This costs only 800 watts for 20 hours.
How to save on your energy bills
